雪城大学学术卓越

　　在近150年的校史上，雪城大学记录着很多个“美国第一”：美国第一家授予公共管理硕士的院校，开创全美第一家新闻学院，授予第一所视觉与艺术表演学院。雪城大学学术实力出众，设立在雪城大学内的研究中心和实验室众多，有布斯计算中心、Hale天文台、地震实验室、Kerckhoff实验室、Big Bear太阳系观测站、Palomar天文台、Owens峡谷射电天文台、NASA的喷气推进实验室(JPL)等等。

　　雪城大学拥有二十七个图书馆，总藏书数量超过1500万册，是世界第九大“百万图书馆”(mega-library)。

　　根据美国图书馆协会的统计，雪城大学图书馆有全美最齐全的数学及物理学的资料收藏，其他亚洲、斯拉维亚及东欧等的档收集之齐全也是全美之最。在这二十七个图书馆中，博迪图书馆(The Peabody Institute Library)，被誉为世界十大最美图书馆之一。
